Paul Fleet - Surrealist Artist

Paul is an internationally renowned digital artist, who now produces surreal artworks which make great statement pieces.  He has given up the shackles of commercial art in order to free himself to create highly original oil paintings.  He is inspired by the ideas of M. C. Escher, Lewis Carroll and Salvador Dali.

Paul achieved a BA First in Graphic Design and Illustration from The London College of Printing.  His work has been used to illustrate book and album covers; technical, scientific and medical journals; posters, magazines and newspapers worldwide.  Paul's art has also been used for teaching GCSE and 'A' Level art.

What to look for in Paul's Paintings

There are of course the obvious and more subtle optical illusions in the artworks but most important is the narrative. The connections and story within the pictures are dependent on the viewer. There are no wrong answers to the meaning of these paintings; they are designed from the outset to poke the imagination. Like watching clouds on a sunny day some people will see dragons, some will see faces and others will just see clouds.

The more you let your imagination run free the more you will get out of the art and just maybe start to look at other things around you a little differently.
